Feedme: Our Employee Potluck

We decided a few days ago to have an employee potluck on Friday in our San Francisco office. “What are you bringing to the potluck?” has been the most popular topic of conversation this week and things took a competitive turn with an e-mail claiming “I’m raising the bar with edamame spread and crostini.”

All the trash talk ended up bringing out the best in everyone’s cooking abilities, despite the fact that our sign-up sheet consisted mostly of appetizers and desserts. Our feast included the “bar-raising” edamame spread and crostini by Mike; dim sum from Eric; spinach salad with strawberries and bleu cheese by Lisa; pasta salad by Chris; chickpea curry and rice by Jonathan; hummus and pita from Barbara and Pawel; bean salads and olive bread from Bibi and Lexi; turkey polenta tamale pie by John; spaghetti verde by Lorenz; salad by Jen; homemade Mexican chocolate ice cream from Erin; flan from Michelle and a bunch of fresh fruit.

As usual, we all sat around to eat together and talk about our weekend plans while John and Bibi traded off DJ duties. We can do it all again with our insane amounts of leftovers!
