Today we’re liking the folks over at TrendCentral, who forecast trends for Gen X, Gen Y and Tweens. They kindly mentioned Searchme in ‘Cool Websites To Bookmark’:

“With visual search being predicted as where the search category will be heading in the future, this site is one to watch.”

Thanks, guys!

One of our favorite recent posts is over at Search Engine News, entitled “Searchme: Most Visual Search Engine Yet?” Terri Wells does a thorough review of the site and walks people through our features step by step (while acknowledging that we’re still in beta - thank you).

“Visual search engines try to show us that there’s a better way to search than by looking at 10 links with snippets on a page and making an educated guess. Most try to say that they’re more intuitive. Searchme really is.”

Check it out, and thank you, Search Engine News!

The fine folks at CogBox attended Ad:Tech SF and blogged about Drew Ianni’s keynote presentation, “This Is Not Your Father’s Kodak”. Drew referenced Searchme in his speech, which is very cool. We appreciate the shout-out from Drew, and we appreciate Chris’s comment about Searchme on the CogBlog:

Pretty cool, and something I think I’ll actually use.

That’s what we like to hear! Thanks, Chris.

One of the cool things about going in to beta, is learning about how different people use Searchme in different ways. I never would have guessed that we would attract interest from the recruiting industry so early on.

Over at Broadcasting Online Recruitment News, there’s post about Searchme changing the game for recruiters

SearchMe is trying to innovate the interface end of search is a good thing, which may provoke similar innovations on job boards.

If you have an interesting way that you use Searchme, blog about it, and we’ll try to include it here!
